I was hoping these would stay in my ears better....they do a bit, but they still fall out fairly easily. Sound is good when they stay in.

JVC`s Marshmallows are quality earphones, at least initially. The sound quality is fine for music, or the spoken word (podcasts). The pads do a great job of sealing out ambient sounds, and the spare set of pads, is a thoughtful addition. An angled L pin jack would work better for me, as straight pins have a tendency to break, but then planned obsolescence is often part of product design, which leads me to the main problem I have with these phones. I have owned several sets, of different colors, and have found that after a while, the insulation on the cord starts to get stiff. The worst case was with a purple colored set. Eventually the insulation got so stiff that wearing the phones was like wearing a stethoscope. Vibrations caused when the cord was bumped, or moved, were transmitted through the cord, and amplified rather loudly in the ear. Know the sound when someone taps a microphone? It's kind of like that, and is pretty annoying. It's time to replace the phones, because when the insulation gets this hard, it won't be long before it cracks.

I also had a problem where the white insulation on my JVC Gummy earphones turned sticky. JVC manufactures pretty good earphones, but long term there may be issues related to the insulating materials they use. The color of the material seems to make a difference. Their black insulation seems fine, but there are problems with some of the other colors. Marshmallows are widely available, so unless free shipping is available, shop around for the best price.

We own three sets of these JVC Marshmallow Headphones (for me and my two teens) and they are exactly what I was looking for to replace the earbuds that came with my iPods. Unlike the the standard iTouch earbuds, these fit directly into the ear canal so they stay in place if fitted correctly. Here are my observations:

+ Great Sound Quality - While not a serious audiophile, to my ears these produce a rich sound at all ranges.
+ Comfortable - The package contains two sizes of memory foam ear pieces, small (attached) and large. This was important to me because my left ear canal is larger than my right and I was able to get a get a good fit by swapping out the pre-installed left piece.
+ Noise Blocking - Outside noise\sounds are almost completely blocked out.
+ Adjustable Slide - Can be tightened up for use while exercising by sliding up the "stop", this significantly reduces the flopping of the cords.

For best fit, be sure to follow the directions and roll the memory foam pieces between your fingers before putting them in your ears. This will allow them to expand in your ear canal, making a very secure and tight seal.

They also come in a lot of different colors, which is good if you have other headphone users in the house (my set is black, my daughter has green and my son has silver). We all agree that these are very good earbuds!
